I paid more in Croatia than elsewhere – and realized…
October 28, 2025Croatia enjoys worldwide popularity for its stunning, indented coastline and crystal-clear blue Adriatic Sea. Among its many rivieras, we have selected the Omiš Riviera for you – one of the most beautiful stretches of the Croatian coast. It extends for more than twenty kilometers and includes numerous small fishing villages with a long-standing tourist tradition, each offering several beaches and coves. The diverse beaches, whether pebble, sandy, or rocky, appeal to families with children, adventurers, and even couples seeking peace and seclusion. Book accommodation in Omiš or in nearby places such as Duće, Nemira, Lokva Rogoznica, or Mimice and get ready to enjoy the stunning beaches of the Omiš Riviera.
1. Nemira
In the small village of Nemira, located just 3 km from Omiš, you will find two pebble beaches. Surrounded by a dense pine forest that provides plenty of shade and situated below the main road, far from traffic noise, the beaches of Nemira are ideal for families with small children. Although tucked away from the city bustle, they still offer essential amenities such as cafés, a shop, and a restaurant.
From the diverse selection of accommodation in Nemira, we recommend:
2. Duće
A stretch of 6 km of sandy beaches makes Duće one of the most popular swimming destinations, especially for families with small children. What makes Duće special is the fact that houses, apartments, cafés, and restaurants are located right by the coast, so during breaks from swimming, you can treat yourself to Dalmatian specialties or simply sip a refreshing drink while enjoying the sound of cicadas.
3. Lokva Rogoznica
Located halfway between Omiš and Brela, Lokva Rogoznica boasts well-maintained pebble beaches and a few sandy ones. In this small and peaceful village, you can also find basic amenities such as a grocery store, a restaurant, and a post office.
4. Ruskamen
This small tourist village hides many attractions. In addition to being an appealing destination for sailors, it is known for having one of the oldest nudist beaches on the Adriatic. There is also a diving center that organizes trips to the amphora site in Mala Luka and Vruja — one of the best and most beautiful diving locations in Europe. The pebble beaches shaded by pine trees, where you can rent a boat or a windsurf board, are a great choice for adventurers.
We recommend accommodation in the nearby village of Mimice, which will enchant you with its peaceful Mediterranean atmosphere and beautiful white-pebble beaches:
