Balataža Beach

Kali, a charming fishing village, will captivate you with its authentic Mediterranean atmosphere. Equally, you will be amazed by the beaches that Kali has to offer.
For most visitors, the top choice for swimming is Batalaža Beach. Located in a small bay, this pebble beach with a concrete area for relaxing is perfect for soaking up the sun.
On the beach, there is Café Mavra where you can refresh yourself after a day of swimming and sunbathing.
If you forget to bring a sunshade and find it uncomfortable to lie on pebbles and stones, don't worry — you can rent sunshades and loungers on the beach.
Where is it located? | From the village of Ugljan, you can reach the beach with a 20-minute car ride. Don't worry, there is parking available near the beach (though keep in mind that spaces are limited). |

Jaz beach

Ugljan also has sandy beaches! One of them is located in the village of Preko, where the ferry docks. The large and beautifully maintained Jaz Beach will delight both children and parents.
In addition to being sandy, the water is shallow, so children can safely play in the shallows.
Furthermore, the beach features slides for children, hospitality facilities (a restaurant and a pizzeria), and restrooms. If you arrive by car, you can park just 10 meters from the beach. A promenade along the beach offers opportunities for peaceful and romantic sunset walks.
Nearby, there is Galevac Island, also known as Školjić, close enough to the shore to swim to! At the center of this small island, you’ll find a Franciscan monastery and the Church of St. Paul from the 15th century.
If you’re still up for swimming and exploring, take the time to discover the coves of this wooded island, which hide secluded little beaches.

Velika Sabuša beach

Known as a favorite destination for families with children in the village of Kukljica, Velika Sabuša captivates visitors with its unique atmosphere and comfort. Located in a protected bay, this concrete beach is surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation, providing natural shade and a sense of tranquility. The shallow sea is perfect for play and swimming for the youngest visitors, while slides on the beach bring additional joy and excitement. It’s important to ensure proper sun protection, so applying plenty of sunscreen is highly recommended to fully enjoy the sun.
The beach is equipped with restrooms, and you’ll be glad to know that parking is just a 5-minute walk from the beach.
If you’re a fan of nudist beaches, a naturist beach, Sabuša, is located 5 minutes by car or a 25-minute walk away.
Where is it located? | As previously mentioned, the nearest village is Kukljica — only 5 minutes by car or a 20-minute walk from the village center. |
Mostir beach

Mostir Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the village of Ugljan.
This sandy beach is comfortably nestled in a small bay.
Thanks to its fine sand and shallow sea, the beach is extremely popular with families with children during the summer.
There is a café and a restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the beach.
If you want to escape the sun, you can also rent umbrellas and loungers on the beach.
During the summer, Mostir Beach can get crowded, but this can be avoided by arriving early in the morning or in the late afternoon.
Where is it located? | The beach is located on the shore of the village of Ugljan, near the monastery of St. Jerome. If you are arriving by car, you'll be happy to know that there is free parking next to the beach. |
Južna Luka beach

Another popular beach on the island of Ugljan is Južna Luka, located near the village of Muline.
Its sandy shoreline makes it ideal for relaxing moments in the sand, while the presence of large stones along the beach and in the sea adds a unique charm to the place.
Although it does not offer many amenities, this beach exudes an authentic atmosphere and provides an opportunity to truly connect with nature.
Therefore, before heading out to Južna Luka, don’t forget to prepare for a day at the beach by bringing enough water, food, and sunscreen to fully enjoy the tranquil surroundings of this hidden gem of the Adriatic Sea.
P.S. On the way to the beach, there is a small Studenac store that is open daily, except on Sundays, during the morning hours.
